The plot is about 30 m E of the Dam Access Rd on a slightly steep SW-facing slope with an open Eriodictyon californicum shrub layer. There is a dense herbaceous layer. There are scattered areas throughout the stand where the bedrock is exposed. The stand wraps around a rocky knoll of Aesculus californica/Eriodictyon californicum-Toxicodendron diversilobum-Mimulus aurantiacus. The plot is just below the rocky knoll.; This plot looks like it has been burned. About 50% of the shrubs (Ceanothus cuneatus?) are dead.
